One of the few establishments in St. Louis that isn’t a front for the illegal business of speakeasies, The Talon is a homely café that serves a wide array of cakes and gives free refills of coffee to it’s regulars. It is situated in handy walking distance of the Police Station and so has become favourite haunt for many of the cops.

Operating under the guise of 'Doyle's Funeral Home and Crematorium' Doyle’s is a speakeasy with close connections to The Still Water Gang. Patrons are required to dress in a suitably sombre fashion, with black armbands for the men to signify their mourning, in order to maintain the cover for the establishment. Once inside the mood lightens considerably, with every vice available from alcohol to gambling to a live band and dancing girls.

Run by George Lawford, the shop itself is completely legit and does your basic repairs and whatnot. But also it does a little extra under the table, such as fixing cars for the mob, tuning them up to outrun the cops, disguising bodyshop work and making stolen cars look, well, not.
