Officer is always seen in a tan trench coat with dark coloured trousers, a white shirt, a black vest, a loose blue tie, black leather shoes and sometimes a dark scarf. He is almost never seen in any other apparel aside from the occasional tuxedo when formal occasions call for it.
Distinguishing Marks: Gunshot wound scarring on his right lower abdomen, the glare.
Psychological Report:
Self Image: Overall Adrian is pretty happy with who he is and how he looks. But even though he’s generally happy with his looks he still takes care to look sharp and sophisticated whenever he goes out in public. Like anyone he has a few character defects which he’s not so happy about and he works hard to try and be rid of some of them, but keeps in mind that it is also the minor defects that makes him human.
To the Outward Eye: He appears very stern to the outward eye. He always has either a frown or an almost quizzical look on his face which gives the impression that he’s always thinking, always working the situation out whatever that may be. Body language is always stiff and his stance is always very upright. All these things make him seem very unapproachable and humourless.
Social Status: Unpopular with his co-workers, Adrian takes everything seriously, something the other detectives can’t always stand. He is friendly enough but he needs to lighten up if he wants to become more popular with the people around him.
Religion: Agnostic.
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual.
Fears: Ducks, corruption, death, clowns, retribution from the Still Water Gang, the loss of his job and the death of his brother.
Quirks/Habits:
- Taps when bored.
- Runs fingers through hair when agitated.
- Pushes back and checks on his hair at least once a day.
- Lines all his shoes up in his wardrobe.
- Cannot fall asleep at night until he’s checked that every way in to his apartment is locked.
- Re-reads everything.
- Chews on straws and the ends of pens and pencils.
Likes: Most animals, his job, novels, enforcing the law, being the hero, the sound of the rain, going for walks, drawing, people, the smell of fresh bread, corned beef, the colour green, Charlie Winters, trenchcoats.
Dislikes: Disrespectfulness, criminals, The Still Water Gang, the knowledge that his brother is involved in suspected criminal behaviour, Dacian Love, disorganisation.
Detailed Report: Adrian is a man who is good at listening to the people around him but doesn’t talk much himself. He does have a temper on him, a fiery Irish streak that has caused problems with suspects and co-workers at times. He is an efficient Detective who doesn’t take any of the heat that others deal him and takes great pride in upholding and enforcing the law. Though seen as generally a good thing he does tend to lecture others which for the most part goes unappreciated. This causes him to grow impatient and then brings out the aforementioned temper.
Luckily his good traits do out way his bad. He is a very loyal and brave man who always strives to do solve whatever case he’s handed. He has an enormous amount of courage, bordering on recklessness. Without hesitation he throws himself into extremely dangerous situations often resulting in physical harm for himself and/or others. He’s stubborn when he thinks he’s right and voices his opinions on the matter at hand.

Birth Place: Dublin, Ireland, U.K.
History:
The only thing remarkable about Adrian’s birth was that he was born on a particularly blustery summer’s evening. He was born healthy and happy to two loving parents in their homeland of Ireland. The small family was content with David holding two steady jobs while Heather stayed home. A few months after Adrian was born she fell pregnant again and nine months later Adrian’s brother Rickie was introduced to the household.
As the two grew older Adrian assumed the role of over-protective big brother to Rickie because he felt that it was his job. He always kept a close eye on what his younger brother was doing. He was often called his mother’s son as she often displayed the same kind of protectiveness over her boys.
At 7 years old Adrian’s family relocated to St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A as Irish immigrants. David had heard that America held a better life for his family than the peaceful green hills of Ireland could ever offer. There it was decided Adrian would go to the best school possible and to afford that both parents took on two jobs which meant that Adrian hardly ever saw them. When Adrian was 16, on the way home from work one evening the car Heather and David were travelling left the road and collided with a tree. Both were killed instantly. The death of their parents caused Adrian to think he should be a replacement one to Rickie which in the end drove the two siblings apart.
At 18 years of age Adrian left college, where he was about to begin studying law, to join the army as a Military Police officer. He was sent to Alexandria and Cairo to keep an eye on the soldiers training there and to enforce military law. He excelled at his duties there and was then sent to Europe. There he was oblivious (so he claims) that his brother had joined up to serve illegally as a 17 year old.
After the war ended, Adrian was honourably discharged and went back to St. Louis. There he joined the police force and worked his way up to the rank of detective. He devoted all his time to his job, neglecting any romance and his only remaining family in America, Rickie.

A peaceful night at the pub. Adrian had been looking forward to it all day, his plans had only been dampened slightly when he found out Abe was coming too but it was no big deal really. The man got a little more agreeable the drunker he got. Or maybe it was the drunker Adrian got? The man wasn’t entirely sure. As per usual the Hog’s Head was stiflingly warm, almost forcing Adrian to take of his trenchcoat, but not quite.
In no time the two men were happily drinking and hassling a disgruntled Ed Johns, mainly making fun of his funny accent. The usual loud chatter of the pub’s patrons echoed throughout the place, drowning out Ed’s choice swear words. The cheery atmosphere dissolved almost as soon as the door to the hotel opened. A woman nearby screamed and Adrian nearly fell off his barstool in shock. Scott Kovac stood in the door way shaking, crying and with blood all over him.
“Scott what happened, where are you hurt?” instantly the man sobered up and checked the boy over. Where was the blood coming from? There was so much of it but it didn’t seem to be his blood. If it wasn’t his then who’s the hell was it? The boy hadn’t answered his last question so Adrian tried again. “Scott you need to tell me what happened, whose blood is this?” this time he got results. Somehow Scott managed choke and stutter out the entire story. Even before the seventh year had finished his recount Adrian told Ed to take the kid and was out the door.
As Scotty sat inside the pub blaming himself, the man was doing the exact same thing as he sprinted to the Shack. Adrian had had a chance to end this but that attempt had failed miserably judging by the fact that Abe had dragged him semi-conscious out of the forest and by all the scars up and down his arms. That fucking vampire had a death warrant on his head now. He’d kill the thing later, first he had to save Vivian.
He knew exactly where Scott had described and was nowhere near prepared for what he saw in the clearing. Not stopping to chat this time, Adrian launched a powerful curse at Dacian with the intent to send him flying away from Viv. Oh God there was so much blood.
“What have you done you fucking monster?” he forgot about hexing the whatever out of the vampire, dropping and cradling Vivian’s head in his lap. Desperately he listened for a heartbeat, hoping, praying. It was too late, the girl was gone.
“You’ll burn for this vampire,” Adrian said quietly.
