Basic Stats:
Name: Scott Luca Kovac (Ko-vatch).
Known Aliases: Scotty, Scoot, Luca, Kovac.
Gender: Male
Age: 14th June, 1910. 17 years of age.
Ethnicity: Caucasian.
Nationality: Croatian-Irish-American.
Physical Description:
Mug shot: Julian Morris.
Height: 6’1”
Build: Slender with a hint of muscle tone.
Hair Colour: Medium Brown.
Eye Colour: A mix of green and brown.
Known Disguises: When Scott wears his school uniform he often gets a few remarks from teachers about his untidy appearance. He wears his shirt untucked, tie loosened and hair messy.
He pairs most of his outfits (including school uniform) with a newsboy cap. He is almost never seen without one sitting on his head. When not at school he wears plain white shirts paired with brown trousers, a tie and a double-breasted trenchcoat-like jacket. Also carries with him a leather satchel filled with papers, money and a bit of food.
Distinguishing Marks: The first thing about Scott that grabs peoples’ attention is that he’s always got a smug grin on his face and that is not a good thing. It generally means he’s unleashed some form of ungodly prank on the world. Also his height sticks out a lot. Scott blames his father for the curse of being tall. Being head and shoulders over most of his class mates makes him a favoured target of lame jokes like, ‘How’s the weather up there?’ etc.
He also has a weird accent, predominantly American but with hints of Croatian in the way he pronounces some words.
Psychological Report:
Self Image: Scott’s pretty happy with himself, almost on the verge of being cocky. He doesn’t really care what others think about him or the way he looks. All that matters is that he’s comfortable and happy with himself though girls make him a little unsure of himself. He knows he’s reasonably good looking and likes to show off in front of others.
To the Outward Eye: When Scott’s not grinning from causing chaos, he’s grinning for no reason at all. Scott is always happy, aside from when he’s in detention or stuck in a class he hates. Sometimes people find his random happiness inappropriate and annoying. To others Scott just looks like an ordinary, happy, scruffy teen age boy, which is exactly what he is.
Social Status: Popular, Scott likes to have lots of people around him. He tries to get to know everyone as best he can but he only has a few very close friends. He claims to have never hated anyone in his life but he dislikes a lot of people. Scott is very picky about who he hangs around with, he avoids hanging around with racially different people like black people and Asians but will still talk to them.
Religion: Roman Catholic.
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual.
Fears: The deaths of his family, losing Vivian.
Quirks/Habits:
- Whistles randomly.
- Cannot sit still for very long without getting agitated.
- Says ‘Um’ a lot.
- Sucks on ice when he has a cold drink.
- Tilts his head to one side when thinking or confused.
Likes: People, food, girls, family, animals, thick jumpers, pranks, medicine, being with friends, the colour blue, law enforcement, being with Vivian.
Dislikes: Being compared to people, pressure, cats, drinking, overly large crowds, depressed people, needy people, fighting.
Detailed Report: Scott Kovac is someone who demonstrates fierce loyalty to those around him who are important to him. He is caring and always willing to listen and help out with people’s problems, something he’s very good at. He’s courageous on the verge of recklessness. He has exhibited tendencies to get into fights with older boys around him if they insult something personal. He is very short tempered for someone who claims to be a pacifist and is also very immature. He often taunts bullies fearlessly which ends up with him receiving a fair beating.
Scott is a very devoted and enthusiastic person to be around. His joking and friendly nature light up a room along with his smile. Behind the smile stands a very optimistic but stubborn boy who can be very argumentative at times when his views are being challenged.
At school he is lazy and often aloof, lost in daydreams. He’s a little too laid-back in his approach to life, he doesn’t think he needs to do anything in school yet which is the polar opposite to the truth. The laid-back attitude causes Scotty to be extremely disorganized with school work and sometimes when he’s working, though he’s normally a different person when he’s selling papers or delivering messages.

Past Offences:
Birth Place: St. Louis City Hospital, St. Louis Missouri, U.S.A.
History: Born in the summer of 1910, Scott’s birth was nothing out of the ordinary. The labour was short and the delivery seamless. The baby boy was a healthy weight but a bit on the small side, which was most certainly made up for in later life. Being the son of a Croatian and Irish immigrant meant Scott and his brother and sister grew up in the middle lower class of Dogtown.
From an early age Scott proved to be an avid explorer and extremely curious. Irene would often lose her son whenever she took him out or even from their front yard. Once he even wandered as far as The Hill and was found playing with some of the children there after a frantic search across the city. He was a child with an appetite for and causing trouble.
This didn’t change at all as he grew older. At school he was the one who sat in the back causing general mischief and chaos. In 9th Grade he was almost expelled for setting fire to one of the science labs. Worried about their son’s destructive sense of humour Irene and Goran got Scotty a job as a paperboy and its purpose worked. Almost instantly Scott calmed down and grew more responsible. While working one day Scott met Vivian Nazarova. After that initial meeting he made sure he worked a corner near her Craft shop and eventually worked up the courage to ask her out.
Scott’s brother was also working as a mechanic at an Auto Shop in Midtown. He would often take trips to see his brother work and hang around the workshop. It was there that he met some rumrunners of the Riverfront Runners, Dogtown Boys and even the Still Water Gang. The lure of a gangster life was hard to resist for the young boy and he eventually landed himself a job as a small time messenger between the main gang and the sub mobs.
He keeps the mob jobs a fierce secret from both his girl friend and family.

The walk to Hogsmeade was not one Scott Kovac had been looking forward to. All around the boy was the beauty of a winter’s evening. The gold of the sunset peered through the cloudy sky and made the snow glitter but he gave it no heed. Head down, he just wanted to get this trip over and done with as soon as possible. It had been weeks since Scott had last set foot outside the castle and on that night someone had died. If it wasn’t for Christmas and his siblings and relatives expecting presents, the Gryffindor would still be moping in the common room, staring at the fireplace.
For a moment he glanced up and caught sight of the Shrieking Shack. Even after all those weeks it hurt to see the seemingly harmless rickety house. The last place Vivian Jones had seen alive and it was all his fault. Scotty blamed himself for her death. He had been the one to suggest the dare; he had been the one who had goaded her into it. And it was all because he had been too much of a coward to ask her out like a normal person.
Bitterly he kicked at the snow on the ground, almost causing himself to fall over on the slippery ground. He should just turn back, this place was too painful. The memories it held stung as much as the cold breeze on his face. But if Scott turned back he’d have to deal with his brothers’ and sisters’ disappointed faces. It was a tradition, a very expensive tradition, for everyone to get everyone else something.
Conflicted, the boy hung on the edge of the village furthest away from the Shrieking Shack and the Hog’s Head. He tried not to but all he could think about was Viv choking on her own blood and having it all over his hands both literally and figuratively. He’d known he couldn’t stay away from Hogsmeade forever but he’d tried his best to avoid the inevitable. Now it was time to face it and, as much as he didn’t want to, Scott forced himself to walk to the village square breathing hard and near tears. It hurt to know that Vivian would never see the quaint village ever again. She was probably buried somewhere in Russia and her memory was cursed to haunt Scott forever.
