THE STILL WATER GANG
Silas Moran
Occupation: Boss
Suggested Playby: Robert Downey Jr.
Silas has been running the Mob since 1921. All orders come from him and filter through the levels of command. However, he’s not content to just sit in a fancy room letting the cash roll in, instead getting his hands dirty at every opportunity (much to Abraham Grey’s exasperation). A scary bastard in general; and clinically psychopathic to boot.[/s]
Abraham Grey
Occupation: UnderBoss
Suggested Playby: Callum Blue
Grey landed the job for serving with Silas in the Great War and not wanting to one day usurp him. He's a thinker, not a warrior, and his negotiating skills and logic have proved invaluble in establishing connections as well as organising political and police corruption, not to mention reigning Silas in every other day. He also functions as the Mobs lawyer and deals with all the Mob's technical little ins and outs.[/s]
Eoghan Digby
Occupation: Head of Racketeering
Suggested Playby: Owen Wilson
Eoghan is in charge of protecting people - or rather, making sure they’re paying enough money to warrant protection. If they’re not, his job is then to do the opposite. He also has people infiltrating the unions and helps 'support' local Irish businesses by obliterating the competition for a fee. Although sometimes what he needs to do will come second to winding up Marcus Sullivan. It’s just so damn fun! His brother is Calvin Digby.
Saul ParsonOccupation: Head of Bootlegging
Suggested Playby: David Tennant
Saul Parson is one of the cheeriest people in the Still Water gang, although most of the time it’ll be a joke at your expense he’ll be making. He’s not above insulting people, then charming his way out of it. It doesn’t hurt that he’s the one in charge of trafficking alcohol for the gang, either.
Vincent Driscoll
Occupation: Head of Sex Trade
Suggested Playby: Val Kilmer
A Texan native, no-one’s entirely sure how Vinnie ended up in St. Louis - ask him, and he’ll give you a different answer each time. A sex addict, he’s pretty much found the perfect job, although whether or not he’s any good at it is disputable.
Marcus SullivanOccupation: Head of Gambling
Suggested Playby: Steve Coogan
Marcus’s main job is making sure all gambling that goes on in St. Louis earns the Still Waters money - From fixing bets and setting up gambling rings, to sending men to work the casinos. That is, when he’s not yelling at Eoghan Digby.
Shane Greet
Occupation: Head of Enforcement
Suggested Playby: Christian Bale
Shane is a bit of a contradiction, really. He’s astoundingly kind, especially to children, but wont bat an eyelid when breaking someone’s legs if they’ve crossed the gang. Some say he’s taken a few too many blows to the head, but never to his face, unless they want a few too many blows to the head themselves.
Jude GodesbyOccupation: Head of Narcotics
Suggested Playby: Johnny Depp
A heavy opium addict himself, Jude Godesby really fell on his feet landing this position in the Still Water Gang. He’s very laid back about his job, but after sustaining a broken nose and cheekbone a while back, he’s learnt that no matter how horizontal he’s feeling, Silas Moran needs paying.
Fred Upstone
Occupation: Leader of The Dogtown Boys
Suggested Playby: Terry Jones
Like Oscar, Fred’s job varies - whatever Silas needs doing, Fred and his boys are on it, although they’re mostly used as backup for the Racketeers and the Enforcers. He’s a lot more of a joker than Oscar, though no less serious about his ob, or protecting everyone of his Dogtown Boys.
Oscar ForbesOccupation: Leader of The Riverfront Runners
Suggested Playby: Michael Palin
Oscars job is to basically do anything that’s asked of him, although he and his boys spend a lot of time helping out the bootleggers. Oscar looks after every one of his men and is fiercely loyal to the Still Waters, though there is a bit of rivalry going on between him and Fred Upstone.
Dennis Scarrow
Occupation: Drugrunner
Suggested Playby: Adrien Brody
Not a drug user himself, timid Dennis Scarrow got dragged into the mob in order to pay off a debt he owed them for protection. He’s been working for the Still Waters for 2 years, but still dreams one day he’ll be a free man again
Edward Heatley
Occupation: Head Hit Man
Suggested Playby: Jensen Ackles
Edward is a man who most would never pick to be one of the most ruthless killers in all of St. Louis. Not only is he Silas Moran's personal hit man, he also doubles as his bodyguard and it could be said that the two are almost friends. Quiet and softly-spoken, Edward currently maintains a strong relationship with Cassandra Sanford.[/s]
Noddy Redgrave
Occupation: Fee Collector
Suggested Playby: Ewen Bremner
If you own of some sort of business establishment, Noddy Redgrave is the last person you want to turn up on your doorstep. A slimy character, he’s always after money, whether for his boss, or not, but thankfully you’ll be buying protection. With any luck.
Evan GregsonOccupation: Pimp
Suggested Playby: Nick Frost
Evan Gregson thinks he has the perfect job. A fair bit of income - even if a large percentage is siphoned off by the mob - and free sex whenever he wants it! Too bad he has to answer to Vincent Driscoll.
Robin Oliver
Occupation: Rum runner
Suggested Playby: William Mosley
Robin was, to her great displeasure, born female, a fact she’s disguised from the world pretty much all her life, although its only been recently she’s seriously pretended to be a boy. After her father was arrested, she was taken under the wing of Simon Farland, who, believing her to be a boy, set her up as a rum runner for the Still Water gang.
Will Delves
Occupation: Bootlegger
Suggested Playby: Joe Armstrong
Will had been training to become a carpenter, when he sort of fell into the mob by accident, but he hasn’t looked back since. Despite the dangers of what he’s doing, he enjoys the thrill of his job, and this way he isn’t likely to chop his hand of when trying to carve a chair leg.
Calvin Digby
Occupation: Gambling Ring Runner
Suggested Playby: Luke Wilson
Calvin Digby’s job is to run as many illegal poker games in as many speakeasies a night as he can. Fortunately, over the years he’s become a talented card player - and cheater - which is double-y useful, because his mind has a tendency to wander. He’s insanely jealous of his brother, Eoghan’s relationship with Marcus Sullivan, but has no intention of admitting that to himself.
Ryan McArthur
Occupation: Fixer
Suggested Playby: Damian Lewis
Ryan is one of the most talented men in the Still Water gang - getting people to bet on things, lose their money, and still come back for more takes a lot of skill. Whether it involves bribing [or threatening] the bookie, or just convincing people he has an inside tip, Ryan McCabe is the best fixer in the business. And he knows it.[/s]
Finley Dunmore
Occupation: Riverfront Runner
Suggested Playby: Lee Ingleby
Finley Dunmore is pretty much content with life. His job does involve him to do whatever he’s told, no matter how dangerous it might be, but he grew up ion the streets, so doing dangerous things comes naturally to him. He was one of the first people to befriend Joe Campion, even though she’s in a rival section of the gang, and they’ve stuck together ever since.
Joe CampionOccupation: Dogtown Boy
Suggested Playby: Matt Long
Joe was born Josephine Campion, although now goes by Joseph. She was the daughter of the previous mayor, until he announced his plans to send her to boarding school. Disguising herself as a boy and running away, she wound up as a member of Fred Upstone’s Dogtown Boys, and has unfortunately found herself with a rather large crush on Will Delves. The police still have her down as a missing person.
Anthony Sharpe
Occupation: Heavy
Suggested Playby: Chris Evans (actor)
Unlike his boss, Shane Greet, Anthony Sharpe does not have a nice side. He as a flair for violence that not many men possess, and he enjoys it, too, which is why, with increasing frequency, he’s having to be held back before he kills someone he’s not meant to.
